Urgent Need for Volunteers! Do you have an hour or two you could share? Our Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver over 8,500 meals a year to homebound seniors and physically impaired residents within our community.
Our sister organization, the Multi-Service Centre (MSC)’s Meals on Wheels program delivery is staffed entirely by Volunteers. Having such dedicated Volunteers is what makes our program so successful!
Along with hot meals, Meals on Wheels delivers a sense of companionship to our clients. Volunteers delivering their meals may be the only face they will get to see all day, which is truly the ‘heart’ of the program. With hot and healthy meals delivered into their home, the Meals on Wheels program allows our clients to maintain their independence. Someday, you may need to utilize this program and we are dedicated to ensuring that it’s still running efficiently and able to accommodate anyone in need.
There is always a need for Volunteers. Many hands make light work, as they say! Every hour counts, whether that be 1 day a week, 1 day a month or 1 day a year.
